Accessibility

This site includes a few tools to adapt reading to whatever works best for you. Here is where they are and what they do.

Reading mode

Inside any article, the button with a book icon hides the table of contents and leaves only the text, for distraction-free reading. The same button lets you adjust the font size in four steps.

Dark mode

The theme switch (sun/moon) in the header toggles between light and dark mode, and respects your operating system's preference if you don't choose one explicitly.

Narrated audio

Most articles include an audio player with an AI-generated narration of the text. Below the player there's a link to view the full transcript used to generate it. You can also subscribe to all audio as a podcast feed (RSS). Narration is currently only available in Spanish.

Keyboard navigation

Pressing Tab for the first time on any page reveals a link to skip straight to the main content, bypassing the navigation menu.

Search

The search box (magnifying glass icon in the header) searches the full text of articles, photos, videos, and thoughts, not just titles.

Language

The EN/ES button in the header switches between the English and Spanish versions of the current page when a translation is available.
